News: Concrete Floor Laid in Tram Shed

An internal shed view featuring
the new concrete floor
The eagerly anticipated concrete floor in the new shed was laid on May 15, 2008. It is a pleasure to see. A lot of work had gone into preparing the floor area, including tamping the track work and placing the re-enforcing steel. The first water from the shed tank was effectively made use of in damping down the surface prior to concreting. In all, it was a great co-operative effort between the Museum and the Tramway Society.
