News: Steam into Roaring 20s and all that Jazz Festival 2015
There will be a 1920s style dress up competition for all visitors to the Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum on February 21 and 22.
Things are starting to steam up at the 2015 Blue Mountains Roaring 20s and all that Jazz Festival.
The Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum is hosting a festival event on February 21and 22 between 10am and 4pm - and what an appropriate setting it is to relive that magical decade of style with the whole family.
When the 1920s began, the locomotive depot was already in its sixth year of operation and just last year, now in the form of a fascinating museum, it celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Join in all the fun of the 'Trains, Trams and T's Festival' by turning up at the museum in your best period gear from the 1920s.
Grab that slinky boa, fedora, flapper dress, cloche hat or even 'spats' and step out in style - as there are great prizes to be won.
At the end of the festival, prizes will be awarded for best dressed family group, best individual outfit, most historically correct outfit and funniest outfit.
Prizes include a family pass to the museum, a steam train tour and Featherdale Wildlife Park entry passes.
