Blue Mountains Gazette 04 July 2007

Blue Mountains MP Phil Koperberg has welcomed the addition of extra train carriages for local commuters.

CityRail has extended the popular 'Chips' service to Lithgow and increased capacity on 11 other Blue Mountains services from four to six carriages.

"The BLue Mountains is home to many of our longest distance commuters and any improvements we can make to add capacity and comfort is welcome," said Mr Koperberg.

"Our commuters love their 'Fish' and 'Chips' and I trust they will be especially pleased with the extension of the 5.39pm Chips to Lithgow.
