Down through the Ten Tunnels

Blue Mountains Australia

Bell
1067m / 3501ft, 2:25 from Sydney, 2:02 from Parramatta

Originally named Mt Wilson, this station was established to serve that hamlet, 14km away. In itself, Bell is little more than a road junction and railway platform.

Between Bell and Zig Zag are the highest point (3584ft) on the Blue Mountains railway line, followed a few kilometres further on by Mr. T. Kennedy's "Ten Tunnels", the deviation which replaced the Zig Zag in 1910.
