I wish you all the very best for 2008 we have entered another year of challenges I hope you can continue to support us in our endeavours as we have many challenges.

The meetings to the meet the challenges are:

The Association has the following issues.

  • Where to now with the T card collapse: we will have to address ticketing issues as we cannot wait T Card type 2.
  • There are still the issues of timetable: the principle of fast reliable services is a requirement especially as it has been recognised that there is congestion between St. Marys-Penrith.
  • IPART is looking at establishing service standards; this is part of the Review of CityRail Regulatory Framework. The Association is attending a meeting with IPART on Friday 15th, we will report to members at meetings.
  • Refurbishment of InterCity Cars is still being considered.
  • The Restructure of CityRail has not been finalised. We are looking at having an Area Manager for the Blue Mountains .
  • A briefing on the recent delays to services by CityRail has been requested. Delays, Causes and Corrective Action.
  • Request for funding for Infrastructure Improvement from Federal Government.
  • Bus Services on the Mountains.

The Association has to look at membership: How do we attract new members etc. Your ideas are welcome. Meetings are not a great attraction.
